Go to Dress… OOTD!

Ok, so shoot me I didn’t get a chance to link up for Manicure Monday! I’ve been so busy planning & preparing for so much that is happening around these parts that the days are just FLYING by! But I do plan on linking up before the week is out so if you haven’t link up yet either don’t forget the linky party this week is being held over on Mimi Blog: Lipgloss & Binky.

Real quick though… I wanted to stop to share my “Go to Dress”. (Nothing Special) But every female has that dress that’s been in the closet for years. It don’t have to be the cutest or the flyest dress in your closet but for some strange reason you just REFUSE to get rid of it. It could be the comfort, price, or you just may be simply attached to it for whatever reason so you keep it around.

Whelp, that’s exactly my thoughts on this dress. It definitely came in handy on yesterday as I woke up late & it was pouring down raining!!!! No ironing, no preparation, no nothing…

Viola >>> GO TO DRESS it is!!!!  

It was raining so badddd outside that I had to take pics inside my friend house. But peep this I creeped a few pics while in a public restroom. Don’t Judge Me! HA! *I promised I washed my hands*

What I Wore:

Tights: Gifted via MaDukes
Boots: Gifted via hubby
Accessories: LA Lynn's

All I remember about this dress is I purchased it at Macy’s on the clearance rack a few years ago and it probably has shrunk a bit over the years… but it still has it comfort & I NEVER have to iron it so I keep it around for days like yesterday! J

P.S. Please be patience with me as I’m still w/o a computer so camera phone pics is what you will get until I can get a hold of my PC guy. ~wink

Simple Style + Sushi

If you follow me on Twitter you know I was ranting about going to get some Sushi on last Friday!

I even tweeted and updated my Facebook status asking if anyone wanted to join me for Sushi. Nonetheless, I would have went by myself but being the chatter box that I am; I was up for some company.   

Whelp, nobody took me upon my offer until after talking to the Bestie on the phone she agreed to meet me at this Sushi Bar in Vinings called: Orient Express

I have been there a few times before for Hibachi Dinner but never have I dined on their Sushi side.

  I admire how the place is very well decorated…

  If you are in the Atlanta Area and you haven’t been to this lil spot please be sure to check them out you will not be disappointed! I already wanna go back!

It was Friday so I wore something relaxing... A Denim Dress w/ Flats! 

I always thought Denim Dresses were heavy and HOT! But to my surprise the denim was not all THICK! The dress was actually very cool and comfortable.    

Being that I am a lioness: "LEO QUEEN" 

When I 1^st saw these earrings I immediately feel in love!!!! I purchased these over a month ago from a vendor friend of mine: Envy Ear Candi all of her accessories are unique and handmade.

Father's Day REWIND!

Heyyyy… I hope everyone had a lovely weekend and that all the Fathers enjoyed their day on yesterday! Father’s Day always seems to bring me to tears… especially after seeing everyone Tweeting, Facebooking, and Instagraming photos of them with their dad! At any rate, I’m sure my dad is looking down on me from Heaven and smiling! J

Me & My Family 

I gifted my hubster with the (2) two things that I’ve heard over the years to never give your mate: A watch and some shoes.

Steve Madden Loafers... he's been eyeing these for a few months & Macy's just so happen to have these babies on $ALE at the right time!

It’s a saying that If you give your mate a watch that means time is running out and if you give them some shoes they will walk all over you or walk right out of your life. Have you heard of these sayings & do you believe in them?


After the gift opening we took his Daddy out to eat to his favorite spot: Golden Corral and it was packed to capacity!!!! Uggh…

My Father-N-Law is a blessing... The doctors stated that he wouldn't remember us and he may have NOT known it was Father's Day but he did remember us! 

After dinner I took the hubster to see Madagascar 3 – yup, we went and saw a CARTOON with no kids… we are YOUNG AT HEART! 

The Movie was good but not better than the 1st two... *shrugs*

Well, my photography (My Daughter) went back to her dads house so that mean she will be out of town for a few days (again). So, the hubster had to be my photographer. To be honest I really don’t think he even look at the camera when he take pictures. Between us I believe he does this so I won’t ask him to take my picture. Hmmm…

I wasn’t going to share these pictures with you all because the hubster just point & shoot when he snaps pictures!!!! But then thought ‘WHAT THE HECK” since this is my POST Father’s Day POST I would let you all check out my hubster photography skills! HA!

Who's going to help... The Help

Wazzup lovelies... I didn't mean to leave you all hangin' but I am seriously still recuperating from all of my BORN day festivities!!!! Not to mention working a government 9-5, She-EO of my own business, twitter, facebook, blogging, tumblr 101, and most of all being a Mom, Friend, Daughter, and Wife can be overwhelming at times. (Not complaining because I wouldn't trade it for the world) but it wouldn't hurt if I had a clone or some XTRA HANDS!!!! I find myself always going the extra mile to see someone else smile. :)) I'm ALWAYS supporting & helping others but lately I have to ask myself... who's going to HELP THE HELP????

Speaking of The HELP... Last Sunday, I was suppose to meet up with Socialite Nikka from Oh Nikka as I had read on her blog earlier that week that DL Winfrey of Pretty Girls Rock Dresses was having a meet up at Atlantic Station to see the movie: The Help and to wear pretty dresses. We were told to buy our tickets in advance but "busy body" me never took the time to purchase my ticket online & thought I would just show up & buy my ticket the day of. So, my bestie & I put on our "pretty dresses" and excitedly headed to Atlantic Station & when we approached the ticket window the screen read: SOLD OUT!  ~Kicking myself because I had ran around all weekend long for everybody and their mama and didn't take out 5 minutes of my time to purchase my tickets online. *Disobedience = Disappointed*

Although, I wasn't a happy camper I was determined not to let that spoil my afternoon. So, I went & got my girls and we made a trip to our favorite book store...

I didn't wear this dress for NOTHING... may as well strut in Barnes & Noble

SN: You will notice that most of my outfits & shoes are from Macy's - That's where my Mother makes her living... YES, my Mother works there and I reap all the perks & beneFITS!

Note to you: When you don’t see me tweet or blog on a regular just know that my life is SUPER busy as I am continuously running here and there, taking care of work, kids, hubby, family, friends, my dog & etc. So, please be patience with me… God isn’t finish with me yet!

Note to Self: I have been putting other people needs & wants consistently before my own. It’s time for me to create some time and space for myself. This way I will have a sense of peace, balance, and wholeness.

Starting today, I pledge to HELP… The HELP by doing & spending more time with The Help… MYSELF!
