Happy New Year!!!!

Happy New Year Eve…

Wowzers… I can’t believe how fast this year has went by. Seem like just yesterday I was writing my 2013 Blog Post.

I'm going to try and keep this as quick as possible because I know NOBODY out there in the blog world is sitting around blogging and/or reading blogs right now… Besides, there’s so much I could say but so little of time. 1st off I hope everyone had a wonderfully blessed Christmas.

Toasting to a successful Christmas Exchange

We are the type of household where you have to wear socks (no shoes) in the house... BUT we provide all our guest with FREE BRAND NEW SOCKS!

I REALLY want to keep my table like this all year round... *sigh* lol

It’s funny how fast time flies when you are having fun. 2013 has been incredible I was able to go on 10 (yes, ten) Vacations and that’s not including weekend getaways. I must honesty say: GOD IS GREAT!!!!

I wouldn’t change ANYTHING about this year because it has been a true blessing!!!! It was some things that happen that I’ve yet to share with folks and only my close family and friends know but just know God just keep on blessing. Sometimes it brings tears to my eyes just to know how GREAT is our GOD!

But here's a few highlights of this year...

I did a Vision Board last year and I can honestly say that I was and still am completely overjoyed... Every day I look at my 2013 Vision Board & every day I get closer & closer to my vision being fulfilled!!!! As the day went by another vision came to pass!!!!

My #Faithnista™ T-shirt line was officially launched!!!!! Can't nobody tell me... Dreams & Visions don't come true!!!! ~As cliche as it may sound: If you dream it, believe it, and you shall receive it!!!!! If you haven't already started working on your 2014 Vision Board I suggest you get to it...  The VISION is REAL!!!!!

This video is of my 5 most liked IG photos...

Here are a few pics that I've posted n IG today but didn't make the blog...

My New Years Nails

Taken last month prior to me getting my braids

2013 Confession: I've NEVER wanted to be called "skinny" when I use to hear that word I immediately would think of "Olive Oyl" from the cartoon Popeye and all came to mind is big ole head, big feet goof-ball of a woman but that's the trick of the enemy because that doesn't define me... I've learn to LOVE & accept me for WHO I am!!!! I may NOT be your ideal size but GOD thinks I'm to DIE for!!!! We ALL are beautiful & wonderfully created no matter your size, sex, or color LOVE thyself... There's NO other LOVE that is greater than self-LOVE & GOD LOVE!!!! Don't insult GOD... He make NO mistakes & he made you just the way he wanted you to be... Uniquely You!!!!

Some folks won't share their flaws they too busy concerned about what the WORLD think of them instead of sharing their story to help somebody else... I could've kept this to myself but I'm sure I'm NOT the only person that's dealing with a word or words that may NOT be liked but don't let it define you... Allow it to help you & to help someone else! #SelfLove #BeYou #UniquelyYou #LoveThyself #SelfWorth #GodChilds #KingKid #Faithnista™

Hubby & I came in this year as LAKERS Fan and will always be LAKERS FAN!

This is me today... Headed to run some errands! Inspired by @abyjoe via Instagram -  I will be doing more Style Snatchin' in 2014 so stay tune!

I don't know what 2014 has in store but I TRUST GOD!!!!

~ See you guys Next Year ~

NOTE TO YOU: Remember: If you drink; don’t drive… Wishing you and yours a Safe & Prosperous New Year!!!!

Weekly Style Challenges...OOTD!

As of late… I’ve been participating in all these IG Challenges – The 1st week I participated in the Plaid Challenge & last week I participated in the handbag/clutch challenge both challenges were hosted by vintage style blogger: Finding Her Niche. I like these type of challenges because you don’t realize what you actually have in your closet until a challenge strikes. Well, at least that’s in my case. I’m going to share last week looks 1st as I had so much fun incorporating clutches that I rarely get to carry and instead of utilizing my everyday Michael Kors purse.

NOT so Wordless Wednesday… Faith & Fashion!

1st off Happy HuMp Day…
Humping right into today’s post I wanted to remind my readers that NOT to allow circumstances to change who you are as a person. I have seen folks who started out blogging with me who are all of a sudden too good to speak to me!

{ Nope, I’m not MAD… I’m just saying}

Also, a lot of folks get the word “FASHIONISTA” & “FASHION” twisted!

Yeah, don’t get me wrong I LOVE Fashion, Fingernail Polish, Accessories, Shoes, Pink, Glitter, and ANYTHING Girly & FABULOUS!!!! But what I LOVE most is my FAITH in GOD!

Since my very 1st blog post HERE my posts where going to be all about FAITH! Then I figured there would be naysayers and folks sitting back waiting to see me backslide, make a mistake, or do something wrong just so they could throw it back at me. So, shortly after I started blogging I decided to incorporate FASHION as I LOVE Fashion so I thought WHY NOT! However, when I share my “fashion finds” it’s not to show off or to show that I look better than the next blogger, co-worker, or sister… I’m simply sharing affordable pieces that I feel will be able to inspire someone. I don’t know who stated that you had to wear name brand or pay a million bucks just to be considered fashionable. My style may not be your style and that’s why it is “my style”. I have stated on numerous occasions that I will take FAITH over FASHION any day of the week weak! These manmade materials don’t make me nor can they break me; I could care less about who got this and that. Lately, it seems as if everybody is in competition with one another whether it be on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and even when it comes to blogging. At the end of the day those likes won’t get you a ticket to Heaven or your followers won’t get you a seat next to Moses!

I like realistic and genuine people that do REAL things & live REAL lives – I’m not checking for that chic with the 30K followers because at the end of the day I don’t know how she got what she got and she just may not be as happy as she appear to be with herself because she just may be living a complete LIE!

U will be amazed at how some folks… get caught up in “social media shows” – meaning they put on a SHOW just for social media! I truly feel bad for these individuals who didn’t get enough attention growing up that they have to seek attention on social networks. I will put all these social sites down in a heartbeat if it means I have to sell my soul!
If I’m not SOLD SOULED out for Christ then I’m NOT selling and I’m definitely not buying the BULL that most of these folks are dishing out! Nope, I’m not a sellout… NEVER have been & never will be!

To conclude this post… Folks, are going to talk no matter if you are doing good, looking good or not so I will continue to incorporate my LOVE for FAITH & Fashion into my “LIFESTYLE” blog (posts) hoping that I can inspire, encourage, and empower someone whether it be through my words or my wardrobe!

Speaking of wardrobe... here are a few pics from what I wore to Church a few Sundays ago.

Pastor Tanda Joy Canion & I

No matter what... As long as these two look up to me I'm good!
My Faith & My Family = My LIFE!

What I Wore:
Dress: JC Penney $14 (major score)
Shoes: JustFab
Necklace: H & M
Earrings/Bracelet: LA Lynn's
Clutch: Thrifted $1

NOTE TO YOU: Nope, I’m not a “Fashionista” but I LOVE FASHION… I’m NOT Self-Made but I’m Godly Made. At the end of the day… I sleep well knowing that if nobody has me - GOD got ME!!!!

Same Girl, Same Jumper… Styled Differently!

Today I woke up all XTRA excited because my niece and my lil cousin will be officially graduating from High School this afternoon. It’s a blessing to be able to witness this.

There are so many graduations during this month and it’s a beautiful sight to see all the JOY in parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends, teachers, and other relatives eyes as they see these babies walk across that stage and receive their diploma for which they work so hard for.

So often we hear bad stories/news about our younger generation when we flip on the TV or turn to social media so when you are in the presence of hearing and seeing good news about our youth it’s a blessing! Embrace the good times, celebrate with them, love them, and continue to encourage them. Our YOUTH need encouragement more than we may know.

This is a jumper that I purchased last year from Corie of It's My Taste and I wore it again and styled it differently by adding a Thrifted Blazer and a few accessories

NOTE TO YOU: If you know a teenager or young adult offer them some encouraging words and allow them to be able to look at you and see a light of inspiration as it’s going to take a whole nation to heal this GENERATION!!!!
