Repeat Offender… 3 PEAT!

If you saw my Instagram post on yesterday then you may have saw me mention the fact that folks don’t like to post an outfit that they have already worn on social media twice. IDK WHO invented that so call RULE but to me that’s CRAP! But then again I’m not here to argue with the masses I’m just here to state (my situation) “my case” and my case only! I can’t speak for the next person but as for me I do REPEAT my outfits. I’m not in competition with no one nor am I’m trying to impress anyone. I shop on a budget and I know my budget… I try and make the best of that budget by rotating my clothes and shopping my closet to get the BEST wear out of my outfits.

Simply put: you can change a top/shoe/blazer and/or accessories to make an outfit look totally different. But with this outfit I pretty much colored inside the lines and didn’t change much but you will see it AGAIN, and maybe AGAIN styled with a different color blazer, shoes, and accessories.

Not everyone is going to like what you wear anyway so why try and please folks on social media that could probably careless about you… Most folks will do anything just to gain a LIKE or too. Oops, there I go ago… Shhh… I’m just going to stay in my lane and maintain my own wardrobe.

 WIW:
Dress: Thrifted
Necklace: Gifted
Blazer: Unknown (old)
Shoes: Blue Booties - JustFab Blue Heeless: Boutique Sponsored Black Boots: Gifted

As for me… I try to be as authentic as I know how and show you guys what I actually wear to work, church, and/or play. For me this is “REAL LIFE” and I try to give you all just that so what you see is what you get.

My outfit is not quite along the lines but it is casual & sparkly (considering my statement necklace) and I did not know the Mamanista's Mama Fashion Files
& The Baby Shopaholic had already started their link-up party but I’m still linking up anyway. Lol

*Sorry, for the cellphone pics again… 2014 will be better*

NOTE TO YOU: I know a lot of my readers are Fashionista’s and bless you if you don’t wear the same thing twice… but this post wasn’t directed at anyone in particular this was just my honest opinion. Thanks for taking the time to read my blog and witness my 3 PEATS!

Wordless Wednesday… OOTD

Today, I’m teaming up with Finding Her Niche for “Viva La Vintage” & Keren of Two Stylish Kays & Thrifting Atlanta Thrifting photo challenge.
I only have a few vintage pieces in my closet and this shirt just happen to be one of them. I purchased this shirt awhile back from my blog buddy Neshante of Style is She. Check out her outline store she has some really cool pieces.

Want to hear a JOKE: I keep saying I’m not a “fashion blogger” but funny thing is I keep posting OOTD. *side eye*
Seriously, though… Clothes/Shoes/Accessories just happen to be one of my weaknesses.

Bottom line: I’m just a lover all things FABULOUS!

Shhhh… this post supposed to be wordless!

What I'm Wearing:

Vintage Shirt: Style is She Online
Pencil Skirt: Sears
Shoes: Zara
Earrings: Gifted
Ring: LA Lynn's

* Photos were taken with Android by my daughter... As soon as I can get my PC fix we will go back to using a regular camera *

Thrifted Thursday + A Message to our QUEENS!

Happy Friday Eve Folks… I just realized that I’ve been wearing “Thrifted” pieces this week. I’m surely not complaining because I’m definitely getting the opportunity to rotate a few item in my closet that having worn over a long period of time. Most days I’m not exactly sure what to wear because the weather here in Atlanta has been extremely “out of ordinary” for it to be August! I can’t believe how cool it is and how much rain we have had over the course of the past few weeks!

I haven’t been thrifting in months… I found myself buying things I didn’t need so instead of going back into anymore “Thrift Stores” I’m going to take advantage of the items that I already have.

Here’s a look at the past (3) three “thrifted” outfits that I have worn so far this week.

On yesterday when I posted this look on my IG and Facebook page I was feeling REAL ladylike and my caption read:
Society has our young generation believing that showing A$$ is CLASS but in REALITY a Man will “address” you the way you dress… Respect is given when shown!

~Always Keep it CLASSY Ladies!!!!

We witness so many females that post half naked pictures just to gain a like on IG/Facebook or a Follow on Twitter… I’m thinking what happen to morals and self-respect! I understand there are models and professionals that get paid to do this but what message is this sending to our younger generation? They are our future and if we EXPECT the best from them we MUST show them the best from how we live to how we dress.

NOTE TO YOU:
I am in no way judging how anyone dresses… To each its own but I’m raising 2 daughters to be QUEENS over here! And, I live each day so that can look at me and honesty say they are PROUD of me. I know I am their greatest cheerleader as they are mine. They are watching me so I have to be the BEST example and Mommy I can be.

Folks are too afraid to be a VOICE but at some point someone has to take a STAND and let our young girls know that there’s more to life than a follow or a LIKE!

Same Girl, Same Jumper… Styled Differently!

Today I woke up all XTRA excited because my niece and my lil cousin will be officially graduating from High School this afternoon. It’s a blessing to be able to witness this.

There are so many graduations during this month and it’s a beautiful sight to see all the JOY in parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends, teachers, and other relatives eyes as they see these babies walk across that stage and receive their diploma for which they work so hard for.

So often we hear bad stories/news about our younger generation when we flip on the TV or turn to social media so when you are in the presence of hearing and seeing good news about our youth it’s a blessing! Embrace the good times, celebrate with them, love them, and continue to encourage them. Our YOUTH need encouragement more than we may know.

This is a jumper that I purchased last year from Corie of It's My Taste and I wore it again and styled it differently by adding a Thrifted Blazer and a few accessories

NOTE TO YOU: If you know a teenager or young adult offer them some encouraging words and allow them to be able to look at you and see a light of inspiration as it’s going to take a whole nation to heal this GENERATION!!!!

Thankful Thrifted Thursday… OOTD!

This is going to be a REALLY quick post as I am headed out with my girls…

1st off let me just say: You can meet some of the most amazing folks on social media networks as I virtually met Shoemisses via Instagram. She started following me and I took a liking to her pictures and found her pics to be interesting so I started following her back as she has a niche for thrifting as I do. She thrifted this skirt I’m wearing (for yourself) but once she got home she realized she already had the exact same skirt at home. We virtually communicated about the skirt then she sent me an email to follow-up and she was kind enough to ship the skirt to me and to my SURPRISE she put another skirt in the package! And, peep this she didn’t even charge anything for the skirt(s). I just paid a little of nothing for shipping so you can pretty much say the skirt was FREE! J
