Happy Christmas Eve Eve…

My next few hours will consist of retail shopping, grocery shopping, wrapping gifts, cooking, watching Christmas Movies and sipping on cider!    

This is by far one of my favorite times of the year… I LOVE EVERYTHING about Christmas from the crowded department stores to the Christmas lights. However, I know that some folks are totally opposite when it comes to the “Holiday Season” rather it’s because of No Money, No Job, Lost Love ones or whatever the reason may be. I’m praying for those persons  strength and encouraging each and every one of you to reach out to someone even if that someone is a stranger offer them an encouraging word and/or smile. You NEVER know what someone may be going through.

Don’t be a GRINCH… celebrate with what you got and God will bless you with what you need. It doesn’t matter how BIG your bank account is… what matters is how BIG your heart is!!!!

I cannot go without saying: Jesus is the REASON for the SEASON!!!!

Wordless Wednesday… Photo-Shoot Fresh

I had the pleasure of being in front of the camera and KiSheyna aka Kiwi of Kiwi The Beauty was behind the camera. She has an eye for creating. If you all have been following me for a while then you already know that I pretty much strike the same poses but with Kiwi imagination she was able to direct me with different poses and make the photos come to life. Simply put… Kiwi captured so many amazing photo’s that I wish I could post them all but since I can’t enjoy these for the moment because if you follow me on any social sites you will be seeing more of them in circulation!

We had sooo much FUN working together that there are simply not enough words to describe her upbeat attitude and dedication to make sure that the photos were perfected!

School Blues

School is back in session!!!!!

I'm sure plenty of parents are “HAPPY GO LUCKY” about their kids going back to school but I’m like the total opposite.

I was totally NOT ready… It just came way to FAST! I still had things to do… LOL!

School starting back for me it’s a JOB!!!!! Yesssss a JOB!!!!  

When the school bell ring in my mind it only means that I have to make several trips back & forth to the school, multiple school activities, and trips to the Boys and Girls Club. I know you thinking just utilize the school bus whelp, that’s not the case over here my daughter attends a Charter School and one requirement for Charter Schools is the parents have to provide transportation if you do not live within the pickup area.

Ooooo… and let’s not mention the hours of homework, projects, more “teen talks”, and let’s NOT forget more money; more money! I don’t know about your child(ren) school but I know we are dishing out money on a weekly basics round here. It’s almost like the kid need a grant just to attend public school.

~ Bottom Line: School = TIME, MONEY, and GAS so I must pack some patience for the next 10 months!!!!

Don’t get me wrong the benefits in the long run are PRICELESS!

I just hope my 11^th grader appreciates and understand the sacrifice that we make as PARENTS!  

I think she's get's it I just hope she don't forget it! BTW, the 1st day of school just so happen to have fallen on my 40th EARTH Day!

My oldest daughter gave me a Blog Camera as she calls it so I can stop using my phone to take pics and my Baby Girl surprised me with breakfast! (So, I'm thinking maybe she's gets it)

  

To make things a little easier and to save on time we iron school uniforms on Sunday and do meal planning for the week.

52 Week Money Challenge

What a GREAT way to start off the New Year!!!!

This goes right with my MOTTO: Spend Less; $AVE More

I’m determined to be DEBT FREE so JOIN ME!!!!

You may have seen me post this on my FB Page and on my Instagram but I’m not exactly sure where this challenge originally circulated from but it has gone viral and is all over the social media sites. I just want to SALUTE the person(s) who came up with this challenge chart.

 I’m SUPER excited to start SAVING! I just hope I don’t loss this enthusiastic-ism  before the month is over SUMMER. I also hope I don’t sneak any money out the cookie jar because I’ve been known to start saving and just by me knowing it’s there I tend to go into the savings. Although, it seems easy enough it will definitely take some self-control and discipline.

If you are somewhat like me and need some discipline try setting a calendar reminder, do it with your mate and/or partner with a Friend! You will be very happy once you see the END RESULTS!
