NOT so Wordless Wednesday… Faith & Fashion!

1^st off Happy HuMp Day…

Humping right into today’s post I wanted to remind my readers that NOT to allow circumstances to change who you are as a person. I have seen folks who started out blogging with me who are all of a sudden too good to speak to me!

{ Nope, I’m not MAD… I’m just saying}

Also, a lot of folks get the word “FASHIONISTA” & “FASHION” twisted!  

Yeah, don’t get me wrong I LOVE Fashion, Fingernail Polish, Accessories, Shoes, Pink, Glitter, and ANYTHING Girly & FABULOUS!!!! But what I LOVE most is my FAITH in GOD!

Since my very 1^st blog post HERE my posts where going to be all about FAITH! Then I figured there would be naysayers and folks sitting back waiting to see me backslide, make a mistake, or do something wrong just so they could throw it back at me. So, shortly after I started blogging I decided to incorporate FASHION as I LOVE Fashion so I thought WHY NOT! However, when I share my “fashion finds” it’s not to show off or to show that I look better than the next blogger, co-worker, or sister… I’m simply sharing affordable pieces that I feel will be able to inspire someone. I don’t know who stated that you had to wear name brand or pay a million bucks just to be considered fashionable. My style may not be your style and that’s why it is “my style”. I have stated on numerous occasions that I will take FAITH over FASHION any day of the week weak! These manmade materials don’t make me nor can they break me; I could care less about who got this and that. Lately, it seems as if everybody is in competition with one another whether it be on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and even when it comes to blogging. At the end of the day those likes won’t get you a ticket to Heaven or your followers won’t get you a seat next to Moses!

I like realistic and genuine people that do REAL things & live REAL lives – I’m not checking for that chic with the 30K followers because at the end of the day I don’t know how she got what she got and she just may not be as happy as she appear to be with herself because she just may be living a complete LIE!  

U will be amazed at how some folks… get caught up in “social media shows” – meaning they put on a SHOW just for social media! I truly feel bad for these individuals who didn’t get enough attention growing up that they have to seek attention on social networks. I will put all these social sites down in a heartbeat if it means I have to sell my soul!

If I’m not SOLD SOULED out for Christ then I’m NOT selling and I’m definitely not buying the BULL that most of these folks are dishing out! Nope, I’m not a sellout… NEVER have been & never will be!

To conclude this post… Folks, are going to talk no matter if you are doing good, looking good or not so I will continue to incorporate my LOVE for FAITH & Fashion into my “LIFESTYLE” blog (posts) hoping that I can inspire, encourage, and empower someone whether it be through my words or my wardrobe!

Wordless Wednesday... OOTD!

Kingdom Chic… OOTD!

As mention I am back with a follow-up post. I won’t and can’t complain but as my heart would have it I was lead to use this platform to share: If you are going through just remember the battle is not yours it’s the LORD!  

This thing called: LIFE can either make you or destroy you but I was BUILT FOR THIS. I am NOT easily broken and I’m a BORN SURVIVOR!!!!

I understand it takes all types of people to make up the world but just because they are in the world don’t mean that they have to be a part of your world!

There are folks in the world that are quick to judge without even knowing the reason behind a person action, some folks will try and hold your past against you, then there are folks who will try and destroy your character, folks who will hide behind others instead of facing the truth, and then you have certain folks who will forget what you did for them and build their whole foundation on having a motive and won’t support you or anyone else to save their life!

Folks gone talk no matter if you are doing good or bad so whatever you do just be the BEST you that you can be!!!! It don’t matter what MAN/WOMAN says: What matters is what GOD says!!!!  There are folks who have said and done things and even threw a few rocks and stones yet I smile because I know that they didn’t give me this JOY and they can’t take it away. When you get knocked down you don't have to stay down... GET BACK UP!!!!!   

One thing about it… If God has destined you for a position there is NO DEMON IN HELL that can STOP it from happening!!!! Many people are seriously struggling with the ENEMY rather it is on their JOB, MARRIAGE, RELATIONSHIP, FRIENDSHIPS, FINANCES, FAMILY and/or CHILDREN but I tell you to continue to STAND and continue to fight because it’s NOT over until GOD says it’s over.

Even on your worst day someone has it worse than you do so SALUTE & KEEP SMILING!!!!

All HELL broke loose and was left in 2012… It’s a New Year, New Week, New Day and in 2013 there is no room for the ENEMY or association with the ENEMY!!!!

DIRT may be thrown your way but as long as GOD is with you no one can be against you.  No one can walk your walk but you… your steps are already ordered!

I am Thankful...

I’m sure you all are READY to get yo’ eat on if you haven’t already started… lol but before you chow down let me just tell you to remember the REASON for SEASON of Thanksgiving… some folks take it for granted and take the day to FEAST which is fine but let’s not forget that tomorrow is not promise to us.

I try to say a word of thanks every day not just during the holidays! So I decided to start a journal and write what I’m thankful for & just know when I started writing this list it was wayyyy to long… this blog in itself does NOT have enough room for me to begin to explain what I am Thankful for.

So, I narrowed my list down to 10 things that I am Thankful for:

·         Life ~ It’s a blessing to be among the living!

·         Faith ~ My Foundation

·         Family ~ My ROCK… they keep me grounded  

·         Friends ~ they allow me to act a fool and still LOVE me for me

·         Finances ~ I’m not RICH but the bills are paid

·         Food ~ My daily bread

·         LA Lynn’s ~ My motivation: Who knew that I would have as much Love & Support as I do

·         Health ~ Although, I don’t eat right… I’m breathing & got a clean board of good HEALTH!

·         Housing ~ It may NOT be a mansion but we have a roof over our head & it’s ours

·         God ~ The Highest of everything, my possibility as without GOD I am absolutely NOTHING!

Last but NOT least… I’m thankful for YOU!!!!

Weekend Wrap Up

Another week and another opportunity to get things right… I hope that your weekend was filled with EVERYTHING that you could have possibly imagine as mine was that and some!!!!!

Hubs & I kicked off the weekend on Friday with a date night at Ikea... We literally stayed there until they CLOSED the store. They had to KICK us out! (I seriously LOVE that store; it's one BIG MAZE) After getting KICKED out of IKEA we went to a Late Night Movie: Snow White and the Huntsman

Saturday: We went to a Street Market at the Starlight Drive-In  - they had all types of STUFF... I'm sure if you name it; they had it!

Hubs woke me up to a bag full of goodies from Victoria’s Secret and then told me to get dressed because he had a day of “goodies and secrets” planned for us.

Without having a clue as to where we was headed we 
jumped in the car and took about a 20 min scenic drive until we approached a small community called: Serenbe which is located 30 minutes outside of Atlanta in the cutest community. 


We toured the town including the HGTV Green House, Went on a Nature Trail,  Horse Petting, Eating, and Shopping


There were sooo many pictures that I took that I tried to narrow the pictures down to the most likely interested ones.

Note to you: I use to shy away from talking about my husband so much because I didn’t want anyone to think that I was bragging and I didn’t want to sound like a broken record to ppl but then I had a close friend to tell me: “Who ever has a problem with you talking about the LOVE that you and your husband share has a problem with themselves” and “May NOT want to see you happy or have your best interest at heart”. She then told me to continue to confess our LOVE to the world and share it with others because after 15 years of being in love she lost the love of her life and if she had it to do all over again she would have said more! Although, I don’t talk about US as much as I can I think folks who know me has a pretty good idea how much he means to me!!!!

~LOVE is a beautiful thing when it is done right… I thank GOD for my bestfriend…
