Mamanista Friday: Happy Valentine's Day!

I'm on my way to a weekend getaway with hubby and and a few friends but I wanted to stop by and wish you all a Happy Valentine's Day!!!!!

 I know a lot of folks don't like to admit that they look forward to this day or that they don't celebrate but I LOVE LOVE and anything that has to do with LOVE. So, I'm just as excited about today as I would be any holiday spending it with Family and Friends.

Weekly Style Challenges...OOTD!

As of late… I’ve been participating in all these IG Challenges – The 1^st week I participated in the Plaid Challenge & last week I participated in the handbag/clutch challenge both challenges were hosted by vintage style blogger: Finding Her Niche. I like these type of challenges because you don’t realize what you actually have in your closet until a challenge strikes. Well, at least that’s in my case. I’m going to share last week looks 1^st as I had so much fun incorporating clutches that I rarely get to carry and instead of utilizing my everyday Michael Kors purse.

Just in case you haven't noticed... My wardrobe consist of 90% skirts/dresses. Born & Raised in a Southern Baptist Church will leave you with no choice but to LOVE skirts! (I'm TOTALLY not complaining) I absolutely LOVE wearing skirts!!!! I'm such a girly girl!!!

Church Girl Chic… Sunday's Best!

It’s been over a week since I last posted but I was on vacation and although my body was back my mind wasn’t. Like the saying goes… you ALWAYS need a vacation from vacation. I still haven’t gotten the opportunity to do my nails so this will not be my typical “Manicure Monday” blog post but I do plan on doing my nails and getting the link up either later this evening or tomorrow. So, if you have your mani ready to show-off the linky will be up soon. J

I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend as I did. I will be doing a full recap of my weekend on a later post as my daughter had a costume shindig that turned out beyond amazing and I’m sure you may have saw a few pics on Instagram but I also wanted to blog about it as well.

On yesterday… I went to Church per usual on Sunday but I wanted to wear my “skater skirt” as I’ve had it for months now and the weather was perfect so I decided why not pair it with some tights and wear it to church???!!! Never in a million years would I have worn this to church back in the day and I’m sure some elder somewhere is probably eyeing me for wearing a skater skirt to church.

NOTE TO YOU: You can be saved, sanctified, fill with the Holy Ghost, and STILL be FLY!!!! Don’t allow the enemy to define your worth by the clothes you wear, the job you have, and the people you associate yourself with…. Everyone is equally valuable in God eyes.
