Happy BORN Day to our 1st Lady

This post is highly dedicated to our one & only beautiful 1st Lady Michelle Obama!!!!

Michelle Obama Princeton University Graduation Photo

1st Lady Michelle Obama is the true definition of Style & Grace.. In honor of my continued support I joined in on the “Girls with Pearls Event - Happy Birthday Mrs. Obama”  and was very thrilled and pleased to ROCK Pearls today for Mrs. Michelle Obama Birthday!!!!

Over the past few years I have watched her children grow as well as her style. I am PROUD to call her my 1st Lady!!!! She has BRAINS & BEAUTY and her appearance speak CONFIDENCE!!!! She has such an amazing style and I notice that she wear what compliments her body and skin tone. 1st Lady Obama also knows what works for her. I know I’m not by myself but have you ever notice hat 1st Lady Obama wears high end pieces at a low cost???!!! I’ve seen her rock dresses from ASOS to sweaters from J. Crew! ~Gotta LOVE a woman who can be stylish & shop on a budget!

Oh yeah, did I mention that this post was picture heavy???!!! Welp, it is… I mean come on this is the 1st Lady we are talking about here!!!! There were soooo many pictures on the internet that I wanted to include in this post but didn’t have the time or room so I think I narrowed it down as much as possible.

If pictures could talk these would speak VOLUMES!!!!!

She has graced the cover of many magazines, talk shows, schools and youth programs that her name has become a household name.

I embrace change and LOVE the fact that this is our 1st FAMILY!!!!

*** If you wore Pearls today please be sure to let me know ***

The hubby & I stayed at the cabins in the GA Mountains for our annual couples retreat and this year was by far the largest group of lovebirds to ever go… we had a total of 20 couples!!!! (Pics coming soon)

At any rate, I’m overwhelmed by all the LOVE I see on Twitter & Facebook for MLK Day! It’s great to see everyone posting pictures and quoting Martin Luther King, Jr. quotes but what good is it if they don’t LIVE by the quotes daily??!!!

Let’s NOT just live the dream (1) one day out of a year… let’s keep the dream ALIVE & live it every single day!

Leopard & Red – Church Flow

If you are reading this I want you to know that you are BLESSED!

Speaking of blessed… I had the pleasure of wearing this outfit to church this past Sunday. My oldest daughter told me I had on RED DEVIL shoes – I had to remind her that the devil is NOT RED and does not walk around with a pitchfork and horns… the devil comes in all shapes, sizes, and colors! I went on to tell her that the devil can look just like me & you and goes to church too so don’t be fooled!

Right after church I quickly changed into my leopard flats knowing that we were going to do a little shopping. Nothing special... I had one thing in mind and that was to go to Kmart to get some footed PJ's but too bad so sad they were SOLD OUT! :'(

What I wore
Silk Blouse & Leopard Skirt – JCPenney
Red Devil Shoes (As my daughter call them) – Shoe Dept.
Leopard Flats – Payless
Cape Coat – Macy's - Gifted
Accessories – LA Lynn's

Only thing missing was my RED lipstick! But that might of been too much for them southern church folks! Cause I'm sure their heart skipped a beat at the sight of my RED shoes & leopard Skirt! GRRRR... HA!

Note to You: No matter how CUTE you may dress or what COLOR you may wear DON'T allow your clothes to define who you are as a person. I have met folks who wear the cutest outfits but have the most ugliest attitudes!
Do NOT allow the devil to distract you as a person… you are BLESSED!

OAN: Ticka over at Spoon full of Sugar tagged me in her blog post - I will be answering those questions in my next post! *Stay Tuned*

I have a VERY busy weekend planned so I probably won’t get an opportunity to blog again or comment on any other blogs until next week – But I wish you all a very blessed & wonderful weekend!!!!

New Year... New Hair

If you are reading this then that mean: you made it
THANK GOD WE MADE IT!!!!! #2012

While most of my blog buddies were concerned about what they would wear on NYE I was more concerned about what hair style I wanted to ROCK on NYE!

I wasn’t exactly sure how I wanted my hair but I knew I wanted something different but most of all… manageable. I flipped through several hair mags and couldn’t decide on anything… then low and behold Justin Beiber Christmas song comes on the radio. Why would they be playing Justin Beiber Christmas song on the radio after Christmas is STILL a mystery but I saw it as a sign!

In my mind: I flashed back to Beiber performance on The X-Factor and remembered his pixie cut and thought: YES; that’s it!!!!

This is a google image but it's the exact image that came to mind (minus) the earring
Although my beautician REFUSED to give me JB hairstyle entirely... she did manage to give me a short do & added her own spin to it.
I must admit my hair style inspiration came from "The Beiber"!!!!

My night consisted of church, watching movies, completing my vision board & most of all spending time with my loves... my family!

Sweater: Gifted
Leggings: Old
Earrings: LA Lynn's
Mini Clutch: Forever 21 - Gifted
Glitter Shoes: Kmart going out of business sale - $9.99

I apologize for the BLURRY pics; Images were taken with my cellphone *

Note to You: Sometimes inspirations can come from the strangest places & things… from birds chirping, listening to a song on the radio, to listening to our inner voice. Inspiration is all around us it’s just up to us to LISTEN!!!!
