NOT so Wordless Wednesday… Faith & Fashion!

1^st off Happy HuMp Day…

Humping right into today’s post I wanted to remind my readers that NOT to allow circumstances to change who you are as a person. I have seen folks who started out blogging with me who are all of a sudden too good to speak to me!

{ Nope, I’m not MAD… I’m just saying}

Also, a lot of folks get the word “FASHIONISTA” & “FASHION” twisted!  

Yeah, don’t get me wrong I LOVE Fashion, Fingernail Polish, Accessories, Shoes, Pink, Glitter, and ANYTHING Girly & FABULOUS!!!! But what I LOVE most is my FAITH in GOD!

Since my very 1^st blog post HERE my posts where going to be all about FAITH! Then I figured there would be naysayers and folks sitting back waiting to see me backslide, make a mistake, or do something wrong just so they could throw it back at me. So, shortly after I started blogging I decided to incorporate FASHION as I LOVE Fashion so I thought WHY NOT! However, when I share my “fashion finds” it’s not to show off or to show that I look better than the next blogger, co-worker, or sister… I’m simply sharing affordable pieces that I feel will be able to inspire someone. I don’t know who stated that you had to wear name brand or pay a million bucks just to be considered fashionable. My style may not be your style and that’s why it is “my style”. I have stated on numerous occasions that I will take FAITH over FASHION any day of the week weak! These manmade materials don’t make me nor can they break me; I could care less about who got this and that. Lately, it seems as if everybody is in competition with one another whether it be on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and even when it comes to blogging. At the end of the day those likes won’t get you a ticket to Heaven or your followers won’t get you a seat next to Moses!

I like realistic and genuine people that do REAL things & live REAL lives – I’m not checking for that chic with the 30K followers because at the end of the day I don’t know how she got what she got and she just may not be as happy as she appear to be with herself because she just may be living a complete LIE!  

U will be amazed at how some folks… get caught up in “social media shows” – meaning they put on a SHOW just for social media! I truly feel bad for these individuals who didn’t get enough attention growing up that they have to seek attention on social networks. I will put all these social sites down in a heartbeat if it means I have to sell my soul!

If I’m not SOLD SOULED out for Christ then I’m NOT selling and I’m definitely not buying the BULL that most of these folks are dishing out! Nope, I’m not a sellout… NEVER have been & never will be!

To conclude this post… Folks, are going to talk no matter if you are doing good, looking good or not so I will continue to incorporate my LOVE for FAITH & Fashion into my “LIFESTYLE” blog (posts) hoping that I can inspire, encourage, and empower someone whether it be through my words or my wardrobe!

Mother’s Day Recap & OOTD!

Happy Monday My Loves! I haven’t gotten around to doing my nails for “Manicure Monday” so I’ve decided to share a recap from my Mother’s Day. I know, I know… I’m a lil late but hey I figured it’s better late than never. Then again every day is Mother’s Day if you ask me! ~shrugs~

The Mother’s in my family were brought together and the Men of the family cooked for us and served us! I didn’t get a pic of the food table but I have to hand it to the guys they did good! It also felt good to have the guys take charge in the kitchen and wait on us ladies hand & feet! J

Thanksgiving Tradition & Black Friday Recap

If you got out in the Black Friday rush and survived be Thankful!!!!

I get caught up in the rat race every year it’s sooo much FUN and it ALWAYS get me in the Christmas Spirit! Only difference is this year I was not pressed for anything I just went for the fun but got some good deals while out there.

My Family has a Thanksgiving tradition after we EAT we put on a Talent Show and perform different talents/acts… whatever your heart desire then that’s what you do. We have been doing this since I can remember and we all live for this tradition each year… waiting to see who is going to be who.

Green Zebra... OOTD

Another day and NO CAMERA!!!!! Yup, I’m still a little ticked off about my camera… Well, not so much about the camera itself but about the photos that it had stored… I can never replace those memories! A picture is worth a thousand words and I may NEVER be able to utter those words if I never get to see those pictures again. L

Hmmm… I just so happen to have a few pic’s stored on my cell phone to keep me posting! Thank God for ANDROID!!!! lol

 But for real for real although we be getting our eat on we are actually spending quality time together as well as building our marriage through laugher and conversation

You will be surprised as to how much can be shared over a Sandwich and a Milkshake.

Note to You: As cliché as it may sound… Communication is KEY in every relationship!!!! So, when you see my Instagram pics and Tweets of us out eating just know that it’s our way of secretly bonding while grubbing!!!!

Bad & Good News... READ ALL ABOUT IT!

Okkkk... so I will start with the BAD NEWS 1st! I hope you find this post while in the best of spirits because I'm in between emotions right now. I'm feeling a little SAD & MAD all at the same dayyuum time!!!! If you are my FB Friend then you already know that I lost misplaced my camera. I'm FURIOUS as MY Camera = My LIFE!!!!! Uggh...

Nope, it's NOT the BIG BOY Nikon camera... but I mean REALLY!!!!! This was my everyday go to camera! I got all of my Summer Vacay pics on there, candid photo's, blogging events, and a few outfit posts stored on there as well! At any rate, y'all puh-lease PRAY that I find it!!!!! *TEARS* 

Good News: My boo, bay, babe, baby, boobie, bookie, hubs, hubby, man, yup, my BEST Friend, My Favorite Guy is celebrating a Birthday Today!!!! 

***FIREWORKS***

I have a day planned for US to spend together (of course)... he didn't ask for much but then again he never does. He's a very simple guy that doesn't require much other than MY LOVE!!!!  

 

Aaayeeee... he deserves the BEST so the BEST he will get... here's a sneak peek of what he will be getting for his B-DAY!!!!! Shhh... 

Whoooo weeee... My Boo gone be sharper than some J.A. Henckels knives!!!!! he will have a fresh new suit, new shirt, new tie, new socks and new shoes for everyday of a (5) five day work week! 

O, did I mention... I married a white collar brutha; yup, but don't get it twisted just because he wears a suit to his day job don't mean he can't switch it up and throw on some Levi's, Polo's, Tim's, and/or Jordan's when need be!!!!  

*Catch 'em on the weekends* ~wink

In other News: No gift could EVER amount to the LOVE I have for this guy... There is no price tag that is comparable to the LOVE that we have for one another as our LOVE is PRICELESS!!!! I just PRAY that he have the very best birthday any man could possibly have and I thank GOD that he is breathing and that I am alive to share his special day with him.
