Just Another MANICure Monday... Super Bowl Inspired!

Happy Monday!!!! I know I haven't been blogging as much as of late and I REALLY don't have an excuse other than the fact that I'm LAZY, A PROCRASTINATOR, and well, I'm about that MICROWAVE life so I've been cheating on the blogosphere with Instagram. BUT WAIT!!!! Before y'all give up on lil ole me... I promise to do BETTER!!!! If you don't believe me... just watch & see. (Tehehehehe) 

Okay, so was I the only one SUPER excited about the SUPER BOWL???!!! Well, actually the EXCITEMENT died after like 30minutes o watching the game. It was hard to watch I mean REALLY???!!!! Well, anyone that's a BRONCOS FAN understands my pain. I won't bore y'all with all the details but I will be sharing pictures from our Super Bowl party in a later post but for now let me just show y'all my nails that I need to hurry up and change the polish on. lol 

My nails exemplify just how amped up I was about the SUPER BOWL.

 

This is going to sound CRAZY but did I mention I'm not even a fan of Football!

Weekend WOW Moment…

My weekend was fill with surprises and excitement!

1^st things 1^st… I cut my hair for the very 1^st time in over 20 years! I have had a trim here and there but NEVER have I had a major cut like this before. I was born and raised in the South and being from the south Females are taught that you are not to cut your hair. We are raised with the thought that our hair is our CROWN and GLORY! So, this is something that I have live with. I have talked about getting it cut but NEVER really got the nerve up to actually do it.

This past Saturday I FINALLY did it!!!!!

  

 My Natural Hair was not having it at 1^st

I thought I would have to go with a “curly fro” but my stylist was able to work her magic and straighten my hair.

As I was feeling my new hairstyle so much I had my blog buddy Kiwi the Beauty do me a photo shoot – Here is a Sneak Peak!

She captured some AMAZING pictures that I can’t wait to share them with you all.

Some may say that it’s drastic but I don’t REGRET it and I’m GLAD I did!

I can FINALLY say that I AM FREE!!!! I thought that it would be hard to managed but in REALITY so far it actually seem easier to manage and I’m sooo happy to look in the mirror and see the NEW ME!   

Last but definitely not least… I went to Church on yesterday and it was “Youth Sunday” and the service was phenomenal. Have you ever went to Church and seems as if the message was speaking right into your LIFE?

The sermon was brought to us out of Genesis 12

~ MESSAGE ~

·         You can’t align yourself with everybody… EVERYBODY don’t want to see you blessed!!!!

·         The only ENEMY you have is in you!

I sooo needed to hear that I walked out of Church with my short haircut knowing that I was walking into my destiny…

NOTE TO YOU: You seriously have to go with what makes you HAPPY! Not everyone is going to like how you wear your hair, how you dress, or the things that you do but if it makes you HAPPY then DO YOU!!!! Nobody can be YOU but YOU!!!!

"Blogger is The New Entrepreneur" Luncheon Recap

I had the complete honor and pleasure to attend Celebrity Blogger:  Talking with Tami for a Bloggers Luncheon at Strip Restaurant at Atlantic Station entitled: "Blogger is The New Entrepreneur"

Tami shared a lot with the group on the how to's, what not's and freely gave info on her blogging background.

Tami also gave insight on how to build and have a successful blog. Being that Tami is the best in the blogging business I was very estatic to be among the group of bloggers; some I knew and some I met for the 1st time.

I took plenty of notes and the ones that stood out the most for me are:

* Own your own domain

* All your branding needs to be the same

* You represent your brand

* Always have your business cards on hand; Be Ready

* Create a contract when working with brands; protect yourself

* Get a REAL camera 

* People are visual... Use pictures when blogging

* Remember influential ppl are watching you on social media outlets; your words can help or harm you.

*Don't get discouraged about comments and hits. Just because they are not commenting don't mean they aren't reading 

Tami has truly inspired and motivated me to keep moving forward and I am currently working on putting some of the info that was shared into ACTION!!!!

Oh, and the food at strip was DELISH!

I indulged in: 

Mixed Field Greens Salad

Pepper crusted Flat iron Steak (cooked to PERFECTION)

Topped with a Cheesecake for Dessert!

Tami mention that she would like to host a blogger luncheon monthly and I'm already looking forward to the next!

Madea & Monday Mani

This is going to be a really quick post... I'm trying my BESTEST to stay on top of my posts and keep you all updated without sharing all my pics on Instagram prior to me doing a BLOG POST! TRUST, it's sooo hard because Instagram is so much FUN & ADDICTING!!!

At any rate, my girlfriends & I went and saw Madea's Witness Protection last week and let me just tell you if it wasn't for them being there the movie would have been REALLY suckish... I was a little disappointed as the story line was very predictable and it didn't have me LOL the way that I'm use too! I think I may be outgrowing the whole Madea character... I'm not sure just yet - As much as I want to continue to support TP I really need for him to bring it and not leave the audience me hanging for more.

PLEASE NOTE: I know I mention in a couple posts back that I don't wear shorts but I stand corrected I should have said that I don't wear short shorts!!!!! Because here I am again with YET another pair of shorts on & I have a few rompers that are short as well. I still be kinda tripping over wearing shorts though don't ask me whyyyy... *SHRUGS*

I'm still loving these Jessica Simpson's... these shoes are soooo comfy!!!!!

Blogiversary Celebration

Ole Happy Day!!!!

I had the pleasure of celebrating Oh! Nikka & Two Stylish Kays Blogiversary on last last week.

We started the celebration at a Blog Fab Fashionista Tweet-up at Bloomingdales in Lenox Mall. We were treated with drinks from Skinnygirl cocktails, a make-up consultation by International Makeup Artist Ricardo Costales and a make-over with Lacome products.
