If you saw my Instagram post on yesterday then you may have saw me mention the fact that folks don’t like to post an outfit that they have already worn on social media twice. IDK WHO invented that so call RULE but to me that’s CRAP! But then again I’m not here to argue with the masses I’m just here to state (my situation) “my case” and my case only! I can’t speak for the next person but as for me I do REPEAT my outfits. I’m not in competition with no one nor am I’m trying to impress anyone. I shop on a budget and I know my budget… I try and make the best of that budget by rotating my clothes and shopping my closet to get the BEST wear out of my outfits.
Simply put: you can change a top/shoe/blazer and/or accessories to make an outfit look totally different. But with this outfit I pretty much colored inside the lines and didn’t change much but you will see it AGAIN, and maybe AGAIN styled with a different color blazer, shoes, and accessories.
Not everyone is going to like what you wear anyway so why try and please folks on social media that could probably careless about you… Most folks will do anything just to gain a LIKE or too. Oops, there I go ago… Shhh… I’m just going to stay in my lane and maintain my own wardrobe.

NOTE TO YOU: I know a lot of my readers are Fashionista’s and bless you if you don’t wear the same thing twice… but this post wasn’t directed at anyone in particular this was just my honest opinion. Thanks for taking the time to read my blog and witness my 3 PEATS!

ReplyDeleteHaaaa! I can always count on you to keep it 1-HUNDRED!!! LOL! But you are speaking the truth! I love fashion....whether it's my 10 year old boots, or my 2 day old dress. I will wear what I want to wear when I want to wear it. Whoever has some problem with that should be checking their priorities! You look great hunni! I love the knee length boots and that middle pic with the short 'do.....fly as heck!

Being realistic is much needed in social media...It is so much so that one could build a media identity based on that fact, when really everyone should strive to be authentic. As far as my clothes, I oftentimes change it up because I know people get easily bored and I want to keep people interested. Especially now that I am moving in a different direction and setting some new goals. But I can say this, 90% of what I post, is what I wear... I may take inventory of how I dress for potential outfit pics, but that's not a bad thing, My take-away from your post is to remain genuine. It is MUCH needed in this world. I want to also do a better job at doing what you just did, wearing the same look in slightly different ways. Maybe we can do a "Girl be for REAL" Challenge to promote genuine-ness online.
