"Heeling Diabetes" Recap

I was an official & proud sponsor for the Heeling Diabetes Event. The event was held at Shula's 347 Grill Buckhead.

 At this event, shoes are audition off and sold to the highest bidder and the funds are raised to help find a cure for Diabetes.

The Heeling Diabetes Foundation is very dear to my heart as my husband and my in-laws suffer from Diabetes. This is just my way of giving back... so I'm VERY supportive of this foundation.

Tashmir Parks w/ daughter Azaria (8 years old) sharing her story of how she just recently found out that her daughter (pictured) was diagnosed with Type 1 Juvenile Diabetes.

Yes, she is only 8 yrs. old and she now takes shots 4 times a day and has to test her blood sugar as many times too.

She is a Sweetheart!

I whispered in her ear that: We will NOT let this disease control us! And, she agreed.. we will continue to FIGHT for a cure!

"Blogger is The New Entrepreneur" Luncheon Recap

I had the complete honor and pleasure to attend Celebrity Blogger:  Talking with Tami for a Bloggers Luncheon at Strip Restaurant at Atlantic Station entitled: "Blogger is The New Entrepreneur"

Celebrity Blogger: Talking with Tami (she's such a GEM) 

Tami shared a lot with the group on the how to's, what not's and freely gave info on her blogging background.

Tami also gave insight on how to build and have a successful blog. Being that Tami is the best in the blogging business I was very estatic to be among the group of bloggers; some I knew and some I met for the 1st time.

I took plenty of notes and the ones that stood out the most for me are:

* Own your own domain

* All your branding needs to be the same

* You represent your brand

* Always have your business cards on hand; Be Ready

* Create a contract when working with brands; protect yourself

* Get a REAL camera 

* People are visual... Use pictures when blogging

* Remember influential ppl are watching you on social media outlets; your words can help or harm you.

*Don't get discouraged about comments and hits. Just because they are not commenting don't mean they aren't reading 

Tami has truly inspired and motivated me to keep moving forward and I am currently working on putting some of the info that was shared into ACTION!!!!

Oh, and the food at strip was DELISH!

The Menu consist on the following:

Customize Menu just for the luncheon

I indulged in: 

Mixed Field Greens Salad

Pepper crusted Flat iron Steak (cooked to PERFECTION)

Topped with a Cheesecake for Dessert!

Tami mention that she would like to host a blogger luncheon monthly and I'm already looking forward to the next!

Look Ma No Heels… OOTD!

Ok, let me just jump right in and try to make this post as quick as possible because I have too much to do & not enough time!!!! (Story of my Life)

Let me just tell you… 1^st off this was not my original post that I had planned for today but since I left my laptop at home and my NEW FREE SHOES yep, you READ that right… NEW FREE SHOES came in the mail on yesterday I decided to do a quick post about them!!!!!

So, if you guys follow me on Twitter, Facebook & Instagram then you already know I was a WINNER of these babies... her name is April!

I have to thank Ashley over at Fab Ellis for recommending her fans to LIKE Heavenly Soles FB page & I did just that & was automatically qualified to win a FREE pair of shoes just by clicking the like button!

I was so ESTATIC when Heavenly Soles posted on their Facebook page that I was the winner. I said a “thank you” prayer to Sweet Baby Jesus and did my Happy Dance!!!! “\0/”  

Usually, I would try and get an outfit to go with my new shoes before I wear them but I've been so curious as to how folks walk in these type of shoes that I didn't even bother. I put on what I had already planned on wearing & just paired the shoes with it.

Let me just tell you these shoes right here are by far the most comfortable shoes ever. 

Don’t let the no heel fool you they are easy walkers.

Note to You: I am a true believer of what you give out you will get in return. I am a giver at heart and I try to support everyone as much as possible so to be on the receiving end it feels pretty darn good! I am so VERY thankful that I am literally smiling & kicking my no heels up right now! J
